WNC Reveals Advanced Driver-Assistance Technologies at AUTOMOTIVE WORLD 2020
| 2020-01-09 14:23:38

Hsinchu, Taiwan, January 10, 2020—Wistron NeWeb Corp. (WNC) will showcase its comprehensive solutions, which integrate antenna sensors, automotive radar, dash cameras, on-board diagnostics (OBD) devices, V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communications with cloud platforms, and other technologies for advanced driver-assistance and fleet management systems, under the theme of The Smart Future of Advanced Driver-Assistance Technologies at this year’s AUTOMOTIVE WORLD, which begins Jan. 15, 2020. WNC's booth is located in Aomi Exhibition Hall, #A22-9.

With our years of experience in developing radar sensing technologies, WNC has produced a diverse portfolio of automotive radar products that work together to provide omnidirectional object detection for vehicles, including systems that meet the communication requirements of V2X technologies. For example, WNC has developed a series of sensors for the automotive aftermarket that are compatible with a wide range of vehicles, are highly reliable, have low latency, and are easy to install. These sensors are widely used in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), providing functions such as forward and rear cross-traffic alerts, lane change assistance, and blind spot detection, to help drivers detect potential hazards.

Additionally, WNC has developed a system that combines dash cameras and an OBD tracker. This system has front and rear megapixel cameras and supports ADAS functions such as lane departure warning, forward collision warning, speeding alerts and driver monitoring. The OBD tracker provides the system with diagnostics data from the vehicle and navigation data from the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). Data obtained by the dash cameras and OBD tracker can be uploaded in real-time to the cloud using an integrated LTE connection, providing drivers or fleet managers with more vehicle data to help improve safety. WNC will continue to upgrade the system's capabilities as 5G develops.

Lastly, WNC has spent the past year developing and deploying C-V2X hardware for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and worldwide Smart City trials. This hardware includes a module specifically designed for automotive control units, mPCIe cards designed for Road Side Units (RSU) and complete turnkey Telematics Control Units (TCU).

The scope of V2X and self-driving technologies and applications will continue to expand, and the automotive market will necessarily place an increasing emphasis on road traffic safety. WNC will be by your side driving the development of key communications technologies and advanced driver-assistance products. Visit the WNC exhibition booth at AUTOMOTIVE WORLD 2020 and ride into the future of advanced driver-assistance technologies with us.
