Business Continuity Management Policy

WNC is a leader in the integration of networking technologies in the communications industry. The company strives to provide all of its stakeholders with optimized and reliable products and services.  

WNC gathers information on changes in the external environment and market demand, and based on this information develops and implements a business continuity plan. By continual improvement of operational flexibility and response capabilities, WNC aims to minimize impact on business operations, so as to protect the rights and interests of WNC and its stakeholders.

Responsible Minerals Policy

  • Do not purchase minerals directly from origin
  • Ban the use of conflict minerals that contribute to significant human rights violations such as armed conflict and forced labor in conflict-affected and high-risk areas (CAHRAs)
  • Require suppliers to obtain minerals from responsible sources and communicate this policy to their own upstream suppliers

WNC Environmental Sustainability Policy

In line with international trends for the pursuance of sustainable operations and to meet the expectations of stakeholders, Wistron NeWeb Corporation (WNC) has formulated this policy to serve as a guiding principle in the execution of all projects related to environmental initiatives. WNC's operational activities are based on ensuring compliance with international and local environmental and energy-related policies and laws. The company is committed to climate change mitigation and adaptation, increasing energy efficiency and use of renewable energies, resource recycling and ecological conservation as main development focuses. Environmental performance indicators have been created to implement environmental protection concepts such as carbon reduction, energy conservation, waste reduction, and to strengthen pollution prevention and controls at every site, including in production and manufacturing, products and services, and transportation and distribution. In its provision of products and services WNC considers the potential impact on the environment from a life cycle perspective, does not use banned or restricted substances, and replaces raw materials that might have a negative impact on the environment. To ensure that this policy is understood by all stakeholders, WNC provides comprehensive training to employees on environmental protection concepts, and also communicates with all customers, suppliers, contractors and other value chain partners via consultation, evaluation, and audits, on environment-related issues, listing them as important evaluation items when it comes to mergers and acquisitions.

Government Policy

In compliance with government policy and in coordination with ESH & Energy management system directives, promote environmental protection and the prevention of occupational diseases to provide employees with a safe and healthy work environment.

Manufacture Green Products

All employees must work in a concerted effort to design and manufacture green products with superior quality and minimize the impact and damage these products cause to the environment as much as possible to fulfill stakeholder demands, help protect the environment and effective use of energy.

Increase Energy Efficiency

Continue to strengthen mechanisms for the prevention of environmental pollution, increase energy efficiency, implement appropriate control and reduction measures, and support purchases of products that improve energy performance to lessen the impact on the environment.

Promote Workplace Health

Continue to implement the workplace health management system and maintain good practices in the prevention of contamination and occupation-related illness. Adopt a “zero tolerance” principle toward unlawful conduct in the workplace to maintain the physical and mental health of employees.

Accessible Communication Channels

Reinforce all employees’ ESH & Energy performance awareness and accountability, and provide appropriate communication and consultation channels and participation mechanisms to ensure the effective operation of the ESH & Energy Management System.

Information Security Policy

  • The information security procedures shall be reviewed at regular intervals to ensure it is consistent with the information security policy.
  • All employees, contractors, temporary workers, visitors, vendors, and other workers at the company shall understand and comply with the information security policy and relevant procedures.
  • All employees of the company and external parties who use and access company IT assets have responsibilities and obligations to protect them against unauthorized access, modification, destruction, and improper disclosure. The use and access of IT assets shall proceed according to ISMS policy, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Employees shall protect trade secrets and intellectual property. The disclosure of information about customers to non-relevant colleagues, vendors, and other clients is strictly prohibited.
  • Installation, use, or downloading of illegal or unauthorized software on IT assets is forbidden.
  • The company separates job duties and assigns access rights based on the principle of least privilege and a need-to-know basis to help ensure information security.
  • All persons should be mindful of information security events, weaknesses, and suspected violations of the information policy and procedures. Immediately report information security events through the appropriate response and notification procedures.
  • The company shall develop and implement Business Continuity Plans(BCP)in accordance with business needs which should be reviewed, tested, and drilled regularly to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Information shall be classified in terms of its importance, sensitivity, and criticality.
  • The company shall implement and promote an IT security awareness and training program for employees of the company annually.
