WNC Unveils Key AI Infrastructure Technologies at the 2026 OCP Global Summit

Hsinchu, Taiwan, October 6, 2026 — WNC Corporation (WNC), a leading network communications company, will participate in the 2026 OCP Global Summit in San Jose. Under the theme Powering the Intelligent Networks for AI, WNC will address AI data centers need for high-speed interconnectivity, high bandwidth, low latency, and energy efficiency. The company will showcase next-generation solutions covering optical circuit switches (OCS), 800G optical transceivers, and 1.6 TbE switches. WNC will also highlight post-quantum cryptography (PQC) solutions co-developed with its strategic partners to address the cybersecurity challenges that quantum computing may pose to existing encryption mechanisms. These offerings demonstrate WNC’s forward-looking technology roadmap for high-speed networking, optical interconnects, and next-generation cybersecurity.

OCS and 800G Optical Transceivers: Boosting AI Data Center Efficiency
As AI workloads continue to grow in scale and complexity, data centers require higher bandwidth, lower latency, and faster networking. WNC’s OCS leverages dynamic optical path reconfiguration to reduce data transmission latency and enhance computing efficiency of server clusters. Under specific, heavy workload scenarios use of an OCS can reduce AI model training time by approximately 30%. The OCS also supports multiple generations of Ethernet protocols, helping reduce infrastructure deployment costs and the burden of future upgrades. This cross-generation compatibility enables enterprises to build energy-efficient, next-generation AI infrastructure that delivers exceptional performance. For high-speed optical interconnects, WNC is also showcasing its 800G optical transceivers, which support multiple breakout configurations, including 100G × 8, 200G × 4, and 400G × 2. Compatible with both Ethernet and InfiniBand architectures, these transceivers meet the growing demand for high-speed interconnects in AI data centers.

1.6 TbE Data Center Switches: Advancing High-Bandwidth Interconnectivity for the AI Era
WNC will demonstrate three 1.6 TbE data center switches boasting an ultra-high switching capacity of 102.4 Tbps. The 1.6 TbE near-packaged optics (NPO) switch positions optical engines adjacent to switch ASIC, drastically shortening high-speed signal paths to reduce signal loss and high-speed I/O power consumption. Incorporating OPEN CPX MSA-compliant 6.4T optical engines (1.6T × 4), the switch is engineered to meet the high-speed interconnect demands of next-generation 102.4T Ethernet switches and AI/HPC infrastructure. Leveraging robust in-house R&D capabilities across both Ethernet switching systems and optical transceiver modules, WNC has integrated essential technologies including signal and power integrity (SI/PI), thermal management, high-speed connectors, and optical engines. Through ASIC-to-Optics system-level co-design, WNC delivers AI data center networking solutions characterized by high bandwidth, ultra-low power consumption, and high integration.

PQC Solutions: Strengthening Cybersecurity for AI and High-Speed Network Infrastructure
To address the cybersecurity risks that quantum computing may introduce to conventional encryption technologies, WNC will also demonstrate its PQC solutions co-developed with strategic partners. Leveraging technologies compliant with NIST PQC standards, these solutions enhance the security and resilience of high-speed network infrastructure. From high-speed switching and optical interconnects to post-quantum security, WNC continues to broaden its expertise across network equipment, optical modules, optical engines, and cybersecurity solutions.
