Arts and cultural inclusion and social care: building a friendly and inclusive environment
Inspired by the recent societal focus on arts and culture and women's empowerment, WNC initiated a sponsorship collaboration in 2023 with the Tabernacle Women’s Choir, an all-female choir. In 2025, WNC contributed NT$200,000 to sponsor three ESG concerts organized by the Tabernacle Women’s Choir. The company also invited 20 seniors from the Wanfang Baptist Church to these concerts, further expanding the benefits of the sponsorship. A total of 1,951 people attended the concerts in Taipei and Kaohsiung, including 24 WNC employees. In 2025, WNC continued to work with the Tabernacle Women’s Choir, leveraging the choir’s passion and musical expertise to organize music workshops. WNC also brought 64 students from Tunan Elementary School to the National Theater & Concert Hall for a guided tour and live performance appreciation, helping to broaden the perspectives of these students in performing arts.
As Taiwan transitions into a super-aged society, many older adults face depression or accelerated physical and cognitive decline due to factors such as deteriorating physical functions, emotional distress, and a lack of social interaction. At the same time, economically disadvantaged individuals and people with disabilities face challenges arising from insufficient social support systems. To address these issues, WNC partnered with the Wanfang Baptist Church, an organization with a long-standing and stable presence in community services, to develop a music therapy program. Through the classes and services provided through this program as well as care and mental support, WNC aims to improve the health and sense of community for seniors. This program also expands the scope of care for people with disabilities, helping them build confidence and develop the ability to live independently.
In response to the needs of different communities, a total of 99 classes were provided through this program in 2025.
- Wanfang Community: Through music therapy, communal dining, and life education, the program helps reduce loneliness among older adults, enabling seniors to live healthy and dignified lives in a familiar environment.
- Ankang Public Housing: The program provides companionship and music courses to people in low-income households and families of people with disabilities to enhance their confidence, quality of life, and sense of community.
In addition to organizing classes through the aforementioned program, WNC also sought to promote balanced local community development and provide seniors with better environments for activities and dining. The company recruited nine employees to serve as one-day volunteers at a restaurant in Wanfang Community, contributing a total of 45 volunteer hours. The volunteers helped organize supplies and rearrange storage spaces at the restaurant, enabling the restaurant to operate more efficiently. WNC also donated 238 kg of organic white rice to provide supplementary meals for disadvantaged individuals, children, and youth.
Creating social value and expanding positive impact
Through long-term resource investment, WNC has helped arts and cultural organizations grow at a steady pace, expand their audiences, and enhance the effectiveness of their outreach efforts, thereby strengthening the sustainability of cultural initiatives. The company also provided support to social welfare organizations, enabling them to expand their service capacity, improve resource integration efficiency, and broaden community service models. Moving forward, WNC will continue to focus on issues relating to local culture development and social inclusion, demonstrating its long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility. Through employee participation in social welfare activities, WNC is able to strengthen employees’ awareness of social responsibility, improve its image in sustainability as well as stakeholder trust in the company, and create positive social impact.
