Employee support program

To support employees in balancing their work and personal lives, all locations provide regular and contract employees with leave policies that exceed legal requirements, as well as mother- and baby-friendly measures. The following highlights WNC’s employee support programs that exceed regulatory requirements. For further details, please refer to WBC’s Sustainability Report.

Taiwan

  • Starting in 2025, WNC provides full time employees with an additional paid “Re-charge Leave” that is more generous than what is stipulated by law. Employees may apply for this type of leave without submitting supporting documentation. In 2025, employees were granted seven days of re-charge leave.
  • New IDL employees are entitled to five days of annual leave in the first year of employment
  • Female employees may apply for up to three days of menstrual leave per year, which is not counted as part of sick leave. For employees at or above a specific job grade, such leave is fully paid. Employees are entitled to marriage leave, which can be taken from 10 days before the actual wedding or anytime to a maximum of one year after that.
  • Starting in January 2023, female employees who give birth (as primary caregivers) may apply for an additional 28 days of paid parental leave after completing the statutory 56 days of maternity leave.

China

Bereavement leave eligibility and duration exceeds local legal requirements. For the death of parents, spouse, or children, three days of paid leave are granted; for the death of grandparents or grandparents-in-law (excluding spouse’s grandparents), one day of paid leave is provided.

Strengthening employee cohesion

WNC focuses on caring for the bodies and minds of employees and improving their quality of life by formulating annual employee activities and welfare plans. The company organizes seasonal events and encourages employees to participate in these events. Event themes include art, food and much more. In 2025, WNC organized a variety of activities, including on-site events, a club fair, and a Family Day.

Green marketplace

At the end of 2013, WNC launched a clean food movement, becoming the 1st large-scale enterprise in Hsinchu Science Park to use 100% organic vegetables in its employee cafeterias. In 2022, WNC became an industry pioneer by joining the Green Food Pledge, transforming its employee cafeteria into a “Green Marketplace.” The initiative promotes food safety, certified products, healthy eating awareness, and environmental sustainability, with reduced-seasoning and green-menu options.

Building on its commitment to sustainable dining, WNC received the Ministry of Environment's Eco-friendly Restaurant certification and GDG’s Pioneer Enterprises in Green Dining Award in 2023.
