In partnership with local Vietnamese social enterprise Fly to Sky, Neweb Vietnam, WNC’s Vietnam site, hosted an “Exchange Books for Trees” charity event. The initiative encouraged employees to trade unused books and recyclable materials for potted succulents, promoting both recycling and charity engagement. The event attracted approximately 300 participants and gathered 185 items of second-hand clothing, 86 storybooks, 11 notebooks, 215 pens, 10 backpacks and 13 dolls, giving unused items a second life while bringing green vitality to the workplace.

Among the donated items, WNC will contribute the children’s books to a local library sponsored by the company. These books will enrich community reading resources, translating employees’ goodwill into sustained educational support for local schools. Beyond extending the life cycle of these books, Neweb Vietnam also ensures responsible end-of-life processing for all collected items. A total of 64 worn books and notebooks have been sent to recyclers, reflecting WNC's commitment to waste reduction and maximum resource efficiency.

"It's my first time taking part in an event like this. Trading items I no longer need at home for lovely plants makes it so meaningful,” shared one participating employee. Another added, "Knowing these books will go to the children at the library sponsored by our company makes me feel that even a small gesture can create real impact.” By giving every resource a meaningful second purpose, WNC bridges resource circulation and educational support, turning everyday acts into a lasting force for community.

WNC’s Chief Sustainability Officer Molly Lin said, “Across our global sites, WNC tailors charitable initiatives according to local needs, and encourages employees to take part, extending our positive impact to local communities.” From resource recycling and environmental protection to educational support and community care, WNC actively champions cross-border charitable initiatives, translating care into action worldwide and creating long-term value for communities.
