WNC Employees Volunteer to Enhance Community Facilities for Senior Citizens, Advancing Local Social Impact

Demonstrating its commitment to community engagement and sustainable development, WNC Corporation organized a volunteer initiative in Taipei's Wanfang Community, where employees worked together to improve facilities that serve senior residents. Through hands-on volunteer service, WNC aims to enhance the dining and activity environment for older adults while fostering stronger connections with local communities.
 

Earlier this June, WNC's Sustainability team participated in a community care program for senior citizens and observed that although the local community restaurant had received abundant donated supplies, limited manpower had resulted in overcrowded storage areas and reduced operational efficiency. To help address these challenges, WNC launched this volunteer initiative to reorganize the space and improve its functionality.
 

A total of nine WNC employee volunteers contributed 45 volunteer hours during the event. Working together, they sorted and reorganized all donated supplies according to category, expiration date, and frequency of use, while also cleaning the facility and optimizing the storage layout. Their efforts significantly improved the overall environment, making meal preparation more efficient and hygienic while creating a safer and more comfortable dining space for senior residents. The pastor and congregation of the Wanfang Baptist Church expressed their sincere appreciation for the dedication and support demonstrated by WNC volunteers.
